Have you always been interested in this field?

No, when I went off to college, I majored in music. Eventually, I picked up a couple of science classes and realized I had an interest in medicine.

What benefits come along with your job?

Unlike my job in the emergency room, I can see a patient at their worst and eventually see them at their best again. I enjoy seeing everything all the way through.

What is the hardest part about your job?

There are times when I can't help alleviate the pain my patients are experiencing due to a variety of things.

How did you choose your current field?

Initially, I worked in the ER and loved it. Then I realized that I always had a desire to know what the end result was for each patient. That is when I decided to choose my current field - Orthopedics
